Patriots Good Offseason Start, But Lots To Do

The Patriots in a lot of way told DP to just shut up. They signed Revis, which is a sizable upgrade over Talib, then they went out and signed suspended CB Browner, who when on the field is a good player in his own right. So after the first 4 games of the regular season the Patriots so called weakness is now a strength (although stats show it was their run defense that hurt them last year).

Everyone knows about Revis. He is one of the top corners in the league, talked shit about Belichick, but now wanted to be here so he can shove his dick in Rex Ryan's big mouth.

Browner though has had some highlights in his career. He made the Pro Bowl in 2011, and then also made it again in 2012 as a replacement. Browner will be suspended without pay four games to start the 2014 season and docked an additional four weeks pay for violation of the NFL’s drug policy. He was originally suspended indefinitely in December, but his punishment was changed this month because one of his “failed” drug tests came as a result of missing a test when he played in the Canadian Football League from 2007-10. So, hopefully he is done being an idiot.

The addition of Browner gives the Patriots a ton of options. They now have him Revis, Alfonzo Dennard, Logan Ryan, and Kyle Arrington. What is nice about Browner is that he is 6 feet 4 inches, so he is going to be able to stay with bigger guys, and there are rumors the Patriots could move him to safety to offset the loss of Gregory.

Even with all of this there is still a huge question mark on defense that is Wilfork. Right now he is demanding to be released, and will no restructure. I have to say I am a bit surprised, as it seems like the Patriots want to extend him, and he is getting older. Wilfork is coming off a terrible injury, but there just isn't many DTs that are as good as him. If they could somehow work it out with him, and add another pass rusher through FA or the draft this defense could be strong.

As for the offense, they resigned Edleman, which is nice, and they got LaFell who has some talent, but hasn't really done much with it yet. I do like the idea of adding another TE either through the draft or free agency.

wouldn't mind him at all. Finely would work, or that kid from Texas Tech in the draft that everyone seems to think is coming here.

Finely can't hold on to the ball

How did they tell me to shut up? They are doing what I have been pleading for them to do for years. If anything they listened to me. So you are welcome
