I am concerned, however. Maybe that's too strong of a word. I'm bothered. That's better. The Bruins made a lot of mistakes last night. They turned pucks over, which resulted in Marian Gaborik's game-winner. They made sloppy clears. You simply cannot do that, especially against a team as opportunistic and talented as the Rangers.
On the bright side, the Power Play finally contributed. It wasn't due to tactics, formations, or strategies. It was pure talent. Dougie Hamilton moved without the puck, made a lane for himself, got the puck, fired a shot toward the net and Brad Marchand tipped it in. Simple talent prevailed.
Also on the bright side, Tuukka Rask played well. I didn't like him in the 2009-2010 season because he wasn't aggressive enough. He retreated into the net and got smaller instead of bigger. But now, he's apparently learned a bit from Tim Thomas, and he's challenging the play.
This team can't make the mistakes it made with the puck last night and expect to beat good teams. It's as simple as that.
The Bruins host the Islanders on Friday.

Its a shame the bruins did not show up for the first period. The rest of the game they played well, aside from mistakes you mentioned. Tuuka kept them in the game and he is doing so better than I thought he would.
The east is in trouble if Nash starts connecting with teammates and on his own shots. He definitely looks like a super star who has not played with anyone of talent the past decade or so he has been in the NHL.
Also Gaboriks goal in OT was pretty awesome. to hit his own rebound out of the air coming at the net that quickly was amazing. I blame the bruins for the turnover, but find no fault in Tuuka for letting it get by him.
No, tough for Tuukka to make two saves on that play. Gaborik is insanely talented. And his first goal demonstrated such patience and calmness. He's a true scorer.
You saw how Nash was not used to playing with other good players on that play that he kept the puck for half the shift. He then went to the bench and the on-ice reporter said he knew he should have passed it.
If the Rangers can get goals from multiple sources in the playoffs, if Lundqvist can play at his best, and the defense make no mistakes, they'll win the Cup.
