The lockout is finally over, and now we are getting word of when things will start. Camps are said to be beginning Sunday, and the Bruins will open their season in Boston against the Rangers on January 19th at 7pm. What should be an awesome game to start the season, as the Rangers are stacked.
There are basically 4 categories of people when it comes to the end of the lockout...
The "Boo It's Back": Which are people who just hate the sport. There is nothing you can do about this.
The "I'm Never Coming Back": These guys are so turned off by the way the NHL has been run that they are leaving the sport. I have been one of these in the past and I came back, but this is the type of person teams have to be worried about.
The "NHL Is A Mess, But I Love My Team": This is where I am. I know the NHL's true problems aren't going away. I know the best thing would've been it to fail and start over, but I love the Bruins. I am going to watch.
The "I Fucking Love Hockey": This guys are like the "Boo It's Back", there is nothing you can do to stop their love for their sport.
It's actually impressive that each of our writers fall into a different category. DP is "Boo It's Back", I'm "NHL Is A Mess, But I Love My Team", and Cap is "I Fucking Love Hockey.

The day they announced the lockout was over, I was in a mall parking lot, saw a guy wearing a Rangers sweater, was about to say "I like the sweater, man," then I realized fuck that guy and fuck the Rangers.

Sounds like a frauds answer to me. Please hockey may not get better ratings or money but it is a much better sport all around. At least the players care.

And I am a complete fraud when it comes to hockey, however, if someone who didn't follow basketball or the Celtics, but yet supported them, I'm cool with that too. Rather have people be on board. Apparently your small world thinking is the reason why people don't want to follow hockey.

Please name me one fact you have ever used. I have never seen anyone use more speculation than you. If I wasn't at work I would scroll through the blog and I am sure in about 20 minutes I could be back with 15 posts which was entirely founded on your speculation. So please don't get on me for knowing how to argue. Being loud and over bearing until people get annoyed doesn't mean you have won an argument or even made one good point. You are no better than Steven A smith or Skip Bayless

As a fledgling hockey fan, this lockout was not good in terms of getting me on board. I might watch if I'm bored and it's convenient, but I probably won't go out of my way to watch it until the playoffs.
