"Yeah, so we're monitoring Greg, like all the NBA teams are, but we have not attempted to sign him," Ainge said Thursday on Boston sports radio WEEI. "But we are monitoring him and having (conversations) with his people just to see where he's at."
"Yeah, I think that there will be competition and that everybody is looking to roll the dice and take a chance on a big guy," Ainge said. "So, yeah, there's definitely competition."
From what I hear it wouldn't be for this year, it would be for next, but it has to be a very interesting option. There is no way that Oden will ever be able to log in big minutes, but he if he could ever stay healthy he could still be a force off the bench, almost like a Bill Walton.
Anyways, I root for the guy. He has had it tough, so I hope he gets some kind of NBA career out of his legs.
