The Hornets have told Kaman that he is last on their depth chart and they are actively shopping him. If they can't get a deal done, they are likely to buy him out. If that was to happen the Celtics, Rockets, and Pacers are said to be interested.
I think Kaman would be perfect for the Celtics. He would slide right into the starting lineup pushing O'Neal to the bench. The Celtics are so thin up front that KG has actually had to play a good amount of center, and that's just never a good thing. Kaman is not what he used to be, but before he found his way to the bench he averaging 9.2 ppg, 6.2 rebs and that's really what the Celtics need right now. Well, that and a healthy Rondo. The Hornets will do anything to trade him, so maybe it's unlikely he get bought out, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on if you're a Celtics fan.

I'm a Hornets season ticket holder. Kaman did not play last night and won't play anymore. My ticket rep told me they were exploring a Chris Kaman for Kirk Hinrich (plus a pick) trade with the Hawks.
Kaman is valuable trade bait because 1) he's a sold player with size and 2) of his expiring $14 million contract.
The Hornets are idiots for trying to trade Kaman simply because a the daily hat Trick said--he's a solid player with size. He's also a former All star . I mean the Hornets could use all the help they could get and it's not like they can attract anyone through free agency either.
the Hornets have no interest in "help" this season. they're in serious rebuilding mode and are trying to clear their books of big contracts in order to attract buyers for the franchise. so they will definitely be ridding themselves of Kaman at some point. although, if it is so well known i'm not sure what kind of incentive teams have to get a deal done - they know he'll probably get bought out sooner or later.
