"With Kevin Garnett missing the last 25 games of the season including the playoffs last year with his knee injury, Glen Davis saw his playing time increase to the point where he was getting around 30 minutes a game. But now that Garnett is back and healthy? Davis is finding himself on the bench more, and as the Boston Herald reports, he's a bit down on the whole situation.
"It's real difficult to go back, from playing 30 minutes or even 35 on a good night, to playing 12 or 15 on a good night," Davis said. "There's a lot of great players on this team. I don't know how to accept that yet," he said. "I don't know how to do it yet. It's not as if we've gone over it. Nobody tells me nothing (ESPN)."
Listen, I get what Davis is saying here, and that would be tough, but couldn't he see this coming? Boston has so much talent that a guy like Davis, though still important, is not one of the top players. Hopefully this wont be a big deal (and I doubt it will), but my opinion is that he just needs to shut up, play ball, and enjoy the ride deep into the playoffs.
