Glen Davis could sign a new contract with the Celtics as early as today or tomorrow, according to a source close to negotiations between the restricted free agent and the team.
Davis agreed to a two-year contract worth approximately $6.3 million, including a starting point of approximately $3 million next season, during talks Friday and yesterday. He was in town and expected to take a physical today before officially signing the deal. Via Boston Globe
Great move by the Celtics, and this should make BBD happy as well. I don't how much more burn he will get compared to last year with Rasheed Wallace on the team, but I know having extra big men doesn't hurt at all. Glen Davis will be able to get some relief from K.G, and I guess Rasheed can take Perks place. Now if we can get this whole Marquis Daniels situation taken care of we will be perfect going into next season.
